Adrien Belgrand is what we would call a painter of his time, using painting to document the present and describe contemporary life to show its permanence.
The framing, the perspectives, the representations of a suspended time, of an immobile contemplation, bring to fix the glance on a banality of the everyday life to release poetry from it. And beyond material punctuations of these places of the full, of overload, of excitement, of these snapshots of the everyday life, Adrien describes, in his new contemporary still lifes, the human presence.
We then find a mastered, seductive painting that transports us into a sublimated daily atmosphere where we are challenged, become dreamers and even gourmands.
